Wir möchten Ihnen das Moderne Symposium vorstellen. Dein schöner Tag im Symposium , ist hier in Platanias, im gehobenen Touristen Ort , der nur ein paar Minuten von der Stadt Hania /Chania entfernt ist. Platanias liegt direkt am Strand und ist für viele Touristen aus, Skandinavien , England und deutschland ein erholsamer Urlaubsort , für die schönste Zeit im Sommer. Die Eröffnung von unserem Restaurant Symposium war im Jahr 1998 Unseren Gästen bieten wir einen freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service. Eine gemütliche und entspannte Athmosphäre , sowie dem guten Essen , dadurch wurde unser Restaurant bekannt. Denn Ihre Zufriedenheit ist unser größtes Anliegen. Während Sie Ihr eseen genießen , werden Sie die griechische Sommernachts Brise spüren in unserem Open Air Restaurant.

Da Kreta berühmt ist für die gesunde Ernährung sollten Sie wissen , daß das Symposium nur das Echte griechische Olivenöl, Echten griechischen Feta und frische Zutaten , in der Küche verwendet. Wir bieten nur das an , was Sie genießen können , denn jedes Gericht wird für Sie frisch zubereitet. Für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten , sowie für Fisch und Fleischliebhaber.

Antiken Griechenland
Unser Name basiert auf dem Begriff , aus dem Antiken Griechenland , Das Symposium war beinahe , wie ein Ritual, für Weinliebhaber. Die Absicht war den Geschmack von Wein zu kosten , genug um berauscht zu Entspannen , ohne dabei den Verstand zu verlieren . Es gab immer noch nette und intressante Gespräche unter den großen Philosophen und Dichtern .

"Delicious food"
Amazing food and staff. Would higly recommend this place. Good service and perfect location in the heart of Platanias. Beautiful restaurant. We’ll be back!
"Great food, excellent service"
Being new to Platanias we did not know where a good place to eat was. We asked the bar tender at the hotel where most of us were staying for a recommendation. Without hesitation he said Symposium. We did not have a reservation and when we arrived they could not accomodate a group of 6. My brother in law did not take no for an answer and pursuaded the hostess , Sandra, to seat us. She did get out of her way to accomodate us, which was great.The food that we ordered was excellent, the service very attentive and overall a great experience.

Very good food and service! Spare ribs were the best ribs i have ever eaten and my boyfriend liked very much shrimp pasta and said it was the best restaurant dish ever!

Excellent food! The restaurant was very busy, but we managed to get the table outside. One hour wait but it was totally worth it!

Best restaurant in Platania. Finally back for another visit after the Pandemic and notes that they are still of a high standard. A little ratty on the dessert side but when it's strawberry season, the best one will surely return.

Have been here three or four times, now in June at the latest. The place is easily accessible and has an exquisite and varied menu. Fast and friendly service. The cuisine is at an international level, and the wine knowledge and selection is really good.
